Welcome to IUQB

The Irish Universities Quality Board has been established to support and promote a culture of quality in Irish higher education and independently evaluate the effectiveness of quality processes in Irish universities.

IUQB is currently engaged in reviewing all seven universities under its IRIU process.

IRIU Update: June 2011

The IRIU review of University College Dublin was completed in March 2011. The reports are published and available here in the Quality Reviews Catalogue.  UCD was reviewed by a team of national and international experts as part of the IRIU process.  The review team found UCD to be compliant with statutory requirements and consistent with national and European standards and guidelines.

Follow-Up reports from NUI Maynooth and Dublin City University who underwent IRIU in the 2009/2010 academic year are also published within the Reviews Catalogue. The Follow-Up reports confirm the actions undertaken within the respective universities in the year following the IRIU review team visit in response to reviewer recommendations.
