Welcome to IUQB

The Irish Universities Quality Board has been established to support and promote a culture of quality in Irish higher education and independently evaluate the effectiveness of quality processes in Irish universities.

IUQB is currently engaged in reviewing all seven universities under its IRIU process.

IRIU Update: March 2012

The IRIU review of the University of Limerick (UL) was completed in December 2011. The reports were approved for publication by the IUQB Board on 12 March 2012 and available here in the Quality Reviews Catalogue.  UL was reviewed by a team of national and international experts as part of the IRIU process.  The review team found UL to be compliant with statutory requirements and consistent with national and European standards and guidelines..

Follow-Up reports from NUI Galway and University College Dublin who underwent IRIU in the 2010/2011 academic year are also published within the Reviews Catalogue. The Follow-Up reports confirm the actions undertaken within the respective universities in the year following the IRIU review team visit in response to reviewer recommendations.
